The painting is still in progress.
I had an idea that turned out to be not exactly what I had in mind, so fixed it with blue paint and glaze, which is drying now.
(If you click on the pictures a few times, the become larger. All the better to see them with.)
In the meanwhile, I've begun a collage picture as seen below.
The theme is "Home" and the simple pleasures that surround such a place.
One of the details I like, from a magazine clipping, is the quote - "We don't remember days, we remember moments."
How true.
It's a comfort to realize that some of the best moments to remember, haven't even happened yet.
Today is the last of the Victoria Day weekend here and the weather is very warm and sunny outside.

Circles of Contemplation
My most recent artwork is a reflection of the styles from Native Peoples of all continents and my own imagination.
Colours of black and blue, grey, green and white are a running theme in most of my pieces.
The picture shown below, titled Circles of Contemplation is my first venture in this design expression.
Acrylic on artists canvas.
Available as print in my Etsy shop - http://www.etsy.com/listing/47653417/circles-of-contemplation-85-x-11-print

Brooch with a Bear
It's been raining here in Southern Ontario the past few days, so I've been able to get a bit of stitching done.
This beautiful brooch was created using re-purposed denim from a worn out pair of jeans, some blue felt fabric, embroidery floss and a mish-mash of beads from my stash

New Stuff
I've been adding new Brooches and Pictures to my Etsy Shop.
You can see a list of some items on the side there, which are linked to the shop.
I like to incorporate recycled materials such as fabric from jeans and t-shirts to the designs..
Felt fabric is often dyed using watercolour paints or acrylics.
Embroidery is free form with beads added for sparkle and texture.
Here is my latest brooch creation. -
